The Holy Seat thread.
With the recent impulse with more threads and questions about seats. So I thought I would make a thread that answers all the questions regarding seats.
I will get pictures up this weekend when I take the interior apart to redo my stereo setup.
So you have a bench and you want buckets, but dont know what will fit. Well here are your options.
97-03/04 heritage F150/Expedition/Navigator
04-06 F150 (Not verified for 07+)
04-06 Expedition/navigator
Now depending on what seat you choose determines what you have to do to make them work. I will outline based off year model of what i have found.
97-99: direct bolt in just remember where the spacer went.
00-03: might require a connector change if you had power seats.
04-06 F150/Expo/Navigator: Will require having the chassis pigtail to provide power to the seats. Also requires a 5/16" spacer under each outer rear mounting point to prevent binding in the power tracks.
Things needed to be done regardless of seat choice:
You will need to tap out the welded nut plates in the floor. The mounting points are in the floor. You will also have to cut a hole in the carpet to allow the bolt to pass thru.
Pictures will come this weekend and i will rearrange the floor.

Who is ready to try this write-up? I have a set of good condition gray cloth buckets and console out of a 1998 f150 that I would love to trade with someone with the gray cloth 60/40 split bench. I'm located in northern Colorado if anyone is interested.
