Default hmmmm, differential

Ok, so i've been noticing what looked like oil all over the back end of my truck but it is only on the drivers side and starts on the back axel and back. I decided to check the oil in the rear end and as soon as I opened the cap oil just flooded out. Any suggestions on where it could be leaking out from or where I can get a good gasket to drain it?

Default Someone's Been Messing Around:

Someone has overfilled the differential and the lube is leaking out past the seal at the wheel. The lube level in the differential should be about 1/4" below the bottom of the fill port. If the extra oil has been drained, and it must be from what you have said, then the leakage at the wheel should quit. If it doesn't, then a new seal should be installed.
