Default High Pitched Wine

I have a 2000 F150 5.4L, within the past week, right around 1100-1600 rpm there is a really high pitched wine and I don't like the sound of it. It just started about a week ago, when it got really cold and we got snow. I'm wondering if its like the idler bearing going or what...truck only has 43,000 miles on it. Help?

Where is it coming from? Does it sound like the rear diff?

Our Xterra does that..but yours has no miles so it can't be that..

Your truck must have a supercharger.

Use a mechanics stethescope, they are relatively cheap at auto parts stores, with the engine running touch any area on the engine with a bearing if on is bad you will definetly hear it.
