Helppp, tapping or knocking noise from engine
Hey, everyone! So I have a 1999 F150 5.4L V8 260k miles. It just started making a loud tapping noise yesterday. New oil, filters, & plugs. Is it a loose lifter?

Best and simple advice, run a FL820s filter or a Wix....There's a shi-ton of bad filters on the market, too many...even Purolater has a line of bad ones you don't want to run. A crap filter can make them noisy, almost instantly (takes a few start ups). The first to go will be the lash adjusters.
