Wait, that does look goofy ? I'm not sure I'm looking at it correctly or how that could even happen at the moment. Any side shots w/wheel removed ?

It's not a one piece housing, it's possible to spin one or both tubes. Can't tell for sure but the leaf packs look level, so that's probably what happened here. OP, that housing is technically fixable, but it'd probably be easier to buy a new one.

OP said his driveshaft "broke". I bet he lost the front u-joint and polevaulted the truck, the impact turned the housing up but the leaf packs didn't wanna go with so the diff housing turned on the axle tubes.
Guess I should have read this first...smart guy!

Still would like to see a side shot.

I completely forgot about leaf packs and how they are welded to the axle tubes.
For some reason was just thinking it was just a tube bolted straight to the leaf springs.

If the diff has spun on the axle tubes, just relocating the spring perches will not work. The tubes are loose now and they will spin again. Or worse, bend.

I don't know how the tubes are fixed on the 9.75 axle. On a D44 they have rosette welds - you can spin the tube back, check for straight, and then redo the plug welds and bob's your uncle, no leaf perch relocation required. If that's possible on the 9.75, then that's what you want to do to fix it.

But again, less work probably to just scrounge a used housing and swap it over.
