How to remove airbag from f150 xl.
4 nuts on back side of steering wheel are covered with an anti-theft cover which looks like about 1/8 inch hex or torex lug which has to be taken off before you can get at the 8mm (5/16) nuts holding the airbag box.
Anyone done it before and what is the tool required to get it off??
The problem was flashing airbag light indicator 3 2 3 2 flashes. Fuses all check okay however horn and cruise controls do not work........ This means that the clock spring under the steering wheel needs replacement. I have the part and correct procedure to replace it safely, but am UNABLE to remove the airbag in order to pull the steering wheel off the column.
