Default HELP!!! no fire to the plugs

Hello everyone. I am new to the site and I really hope someone out there can help me. I have a 2001 f150 with 5.4. A couple of months ago when the temp started dropping my truck became harder to start. It would turn over fine but would not hit a lick. after 3 or 4 tries it would start. Now it won't start at all. A friend ran a diagnostics on it and it said no signal comming from ckp. I replaced the crankshaft position sensor, but no change. Then someone else said to replace the cam position sensor. still nothing. I have checked all of the fuses and they seem fine. I am at a loss as to what to do next. Can anyone help!

Have you checked the fuel pumps' performance? Open the gas cap and listen for the pump to prime when the key is being turned on. Have someone else turn the key with the door shut so you can hear the pump and not the door chime.

Hello Torkum. Thanks for the reply. I have checked the fuel pump and I can hear it run and the relay is working. I am wondering about the wiring from the crank sensor to the pcm. The connection to the sensor doesn't seem real snug. Do you know where the PCM is located on a 2001? I thought I might trace the wires back. Maybe a loose connection or short. Thanks for the help.

The PCM is behind the kick panel on the passenger side.

Hello Torkum. I took your advice and took a closer look at the fuel pump. I checked the schrader valve while my wife cranked the engine and no fuel sprayed out so I crawled underneath and tapped on the tank with a 2x4 while she cranked the engine and presto it started right up. I'll be putting a new fuel pump on tomorrow after work. Thanks for the advice. It saved me alot of headaches!
