Question Help! Help!

I have a 97 f150 4.6 and it is making a rattling noise as I pick up speed or put the truck under a load. Does anyone know what this could be?

Could that be spark knock, my 97 does that in warmer weather.
I use regular gas and when about half full i use mid-grade to fill
it back up again and the noise usually goes away.

Maybe your catalytic converters. When they fail, the honeycomb structure inside often breaks up. The faster the engine runs, the more exhaust gas is going through the cats, rattling the broken pieces around.

If what Met is saying is the case, just go under your truck when it is cold and punch your cat converter. If it rattles like a can of nails, you need a new one.
