I have a 99 F-150, it started to miss every now and then when at idle, and sometimes when driving on hwy in overdrive. Service engine light came on and I had it scanned and it came up with code P1430 Electric air pump secondary failure.....What is this? and where is it located?........it also had code P1740 Torque converter clutch inductive signature malfunction- but i havent noticed any problems with the trans,
Any help would be greatful!

 

37's with stock gears is hell on the trans. The trans code could be caused by the trans building to much heat. I have never seen a air pump in these trucks.

 

I'm not having any problems with my trans...yet. Do you have any idea about the P1430 code?
