Speaking of which, is it normal for a little bit of oil seepage past the grommet? I replaced mine with a MC PCV but a Dorman grommet and I see oil is getting past.

I don't think so. The 98 never leaked there, engine comp has never been wet or oily . That engine never used any oil between changes either. Still doesn't at 370,000 miles. Why it's still around lol.

Thanks. I wish I would have found the valve/grommet kit sooner, but at that price, I'm getting one now, just for the grommet.

No problem CO. Dormans rubber and plastic stuff are really low quality.
