Default help! (asap!!!!!)

Starter is engaging with the key in the off, run and start (obviously) positions. ?Only stops once i pull the battery cable. Just replaced the solenoid and its still trying to start with the key off.

Its also not the ignition switch because you can pull the wire off the solenoid and it still wants to start.

Maybe something to do with the solenoid on your firewall? I know if you cross the 2 big posts, it will turn the engine over. I've also had problems with remote start trying to start the truck over and over while it was running.... just unhooked it.

Did it stick before you replaced it, or just the new one??

Did you pull both ignition wires?? Or just one??

Did you check power at the ignition wires??? See if they are constantly getting power to close the solenoid??
Or if the solenoid itself is actually sticking??

Unhook the wire at the solenoid that goes from the solenoid to the starter, that way you can voltage test without cranking the starter.

Ok well we narrowed down the problem, i replaced the ignition switch, and it stopped it from doing it all the time. Now it intermittently does it. It seems if i slam my door hard, or hit a bump while driving, it will go off.... :| So now it looks like i have to chase the wire down NOT HAPPY ABOUT THAT.
