Default Help with 4.6L valves

I am looking at buying a 97 F150 with the 4.6L triton motor. The owner says it has a misfire on cylinder 3 and needs valve work to repair it. I'm guessing that one or both of the valves on cyl. 3 aren't seating causing the misfire? What would be the best way to repair this problem? Can I just remove the head and bring it to a machine shop and have them repair it, than reinstall myself? Also would doing one head and not the other cause issues? Thanks!

Yes you can take it to a machine shop. But it may be better in the long run to rebuild both heads together or even do a pi head swap.
