i have a 03 F150 heritage edition ...I was told its misfire on ignition coil E¿ not sure what that is.....I have always been given a number....help...

 

Have you had it scanned or have access to handheld tuner to read the error codes?

 

yes....they told me I had a misfire on startup and coil E.... would that be #5?

 

It must be a very cheap code reader. I would see if they have a different one or go to another free scan place. Sears was doing free scans and the use a good reader generally and they will be able to tell you which coil is bad. E? sounds like a fault in the cheap code reader.

 

I agree with above most good readers will tell you which coil is bad.

 

How did you do that with your question mark ? (¿)

Install your key upside down?

Or is that a Mac thing ?

 

COP “E” should be #5 and my Mac don’t type upside down question marks ?????
