Default heater core replacement???'s

Ok guys I gotta 02 extended cab with a 5.4L need to replace the heater core... How many of y'all have tackled this yourselves and are there any shortcuts to do it without pulling the entire dash out any thoughts on this and advice highly appreciated!!!

Bruuuutal. I haven't had to replace mine (knock on wood) but I've erd other guys on here say that you do have to pull the whole dash out... WTF is up with that? Seriously? Just to replace the heater core?!!

I just did mine last month it wasn't to bad it took about six hours I didn't pull the whole dash out either here's the link that has directions and pictures hope this helps

i am getting ready to tackle this for a friend i own an f-150 its a 94 anyways i can not get the link to work this is the only forum i use need help with this thank you

I did mine a few months ago wasnt bad at all just have to take your time here's a pic the dash just pulls out enough where you sit it on the seat and you can get to everything
