I havent put one in the F150, but I can say that you will need alot of patience lol I just put one in my 1989 grand marquis and had to remove the entire dash. The F150 shouldnt be that bad, I believe that you wont have to pull the entire dash apart on the truck like i did.

I'm sure that some things havent changed though, so when you get to the plastic housing that the core sits in under the dash, it will be easier to just unbolt it from the firewall completly and dis mantle it on a work bench to replace the core. You will have to un bolt the housing from the firewall, but just go ahead and unhook the hoses and vents. It will make it easier on you at that point since you will prob be as p***ed as I was. I hope this helps you.

Yeah it wasn't too bad I didn't have to take the whole dash out thankfully but I got it done in one day and did a coolant flush earlier today now it's running great and not leaking on to the carpet anymore

I had to loosen the whole dash but only pulled it out far enough to get the heater core plenum off
