Default Heated PCV valve

1998 4.2 f150. I have a coolant heated PCV valve. Two coolant hoses run to the back of the plenum where the PCV valve is connected. I'm assuming that was made for cold States or cold areas. Maybe I am wrong. My question is can I delete that can I cap off the water hoses and cap off the two nipples?

No, that’s definitely not only for cold states. I believe that keeps vapors and oil from gelling up right there. Knowing how the 4.2 intake likes to collect oil, that’s a good thing to keep in place.

They produce the 5.4 with and without it in some years so it's probably not all that important..... But my 2003 has it so I'd like to think it's beneficial, and they added for a reason
But cut to the chase is your truck you can do whatever you want to it. The PCV police are not going to come after you. They're not as bad as the mattress tag police.
