Last year I replaced my stock electric mirrors with heated electric tow mirrors. I did check beforehand to see if I was already wired for heated mirrors, and my door plugs are wired for them, and the wire locations in the plugs matched as well. According to the owners manual, in order for the heated portion to work, you must have the factory outside temp sensor, which I do, because they are suppose to operate automatically when the temp drops below a certain temp, which the manual does state but I do not recall at this time. Last winter, they never came on, so I was wondering if there is something in the pcm or gem that needs to be turned on for the heated mirrors to work. I do have access to a good scanner, as well as Forscan, I just don't know what I would or should be looking for.
