Default Headlights won't shut off

I have a 2001 F150 with a 5.4 liter. It does not have daytime running lights.

I have a Blizzard plow that I have attached and there is a light bar that sits above the plow. The light bar has worked great in the past and i have never had any issues with it until recently. The connector broke and the open wires touched. I disconnected the light bar and now the headlights on my truck will not shut off with the switch, I have to disconnect the battery to shut them off. I have all the wires separated and taped and they are no longer touching.

I plan to replace the on/off switch on the dash......is that the right thing to try first?

Any help is appreciated!

Have you checked all fuse/relays?

How was you light bar wired up?
Where does it get its power from?

I checked the fuses and no issues. I am not sure what to check on the relays, is that a visual inspection?
The light bar was wired up when the truck was new by the dealer. They integrated the harness for the plow into the truck harness. There are 2 connectors (1 for each headlight) on the light bar.
Everything worked fine until the wires broke.
Sorry for being so vague, I am fairly green when it comes to working on vehicles.
