Default Headlights that Actually FIT!???!

I have a 2000 F150. My old headlamps lenses were beyond repair, so i bought the aftermarket/nothing special headlamps from Rock Auto. Not only did they not fit well ....AT ALL... but the entire procedure for dealing with the headlamps was effen maddening. Can anyone please recommend headlamps that FIT right AND is there a method to the madness, or is that just the way it goes (e.g. the installation thereof)?

I've never had an issue.
Disconnect the bulb. Pull the locking slides up. Pull the headlight out.
Reverse the process to install. Then aim the new headlights.

How are they not fitting?

Yeah.... kinda what I was thinking. Can't think of what would be abnormal. Not locking, not sliding in, wiring issue, etc.?

. There was a huge gap between the stock indicator (blinker) lights and the AM lights. I should have taken pictures, but they simply were ever so slightly larger than the stock lights and We were unable to get them to fit. I'm watching some how to vids and I'm trying to understand WHY this worked so poorly.... hmmmm
I purchased this - https://www.rockauto.com/en/moreinfo.php?pk=707250&cc=1362473&jsn=488

Looks super ez here.... ((shrug))

By my "parking light" are you referring to the signal indicators? So the stock ones didn't fit originally or didn't fit well right? Mine were jutting out I think that the actual headlamp was taking up more space than the stock one just buy a little bit, and it was forcing the signal indicator is not to be in their desired position.

My my intentions exactly. That and the wrong brake pads that they sent. But I would like to find a set of headlamps that fit well. Just like the originals...
