Default Headlights

I recently bought a 2003 f150 xlt and after 3 days the lights won’t cut off. Doesn’t have fog lights but does have automatic lights. Headlights, taillights, in-dash lights won’t cut off unless you disconnect the battery cable(s) Can anybody help?

Are you saying that the lights stay on for three days? That's a pretty good battery. Or are you saying that three days after you bought it the lights started staying on?

How long are you waiting before you disconnect the battery? Have you tried turning Autolamps off?

Autolamp control (if equipped)
The autolamp system sets the headlamps to turn on and off automatically. It also keeps the lights on for approximately 20 seconds after the ignition switch is turned to the OFF position.
• To turn autolamps on, rotate the control counterclockwise.
• To turn autolamps off, rotate the control clockwise to the OFF position.
• Foglamps are not controlled by the autolamps. In order to turn on the foglamps, you must turn the lamp switch to the position and pull toward you for foglamps.
