Ok good then you don't need to replace your header panel. Sometimes companies that make headlights for our trucks get mixed up with the year the truck was built and the model year. Instead of them saying trucks built before 7/96 they say 7/97. So this means you can buy the headlights you were looking at without any issue of them fitting onto your truck. Just disregard anything else telling you otherwise. The headlights WILL FIT. I promise you that. My truck was built 2 months after yours was and those headlights will fit my truck even if the website tells otherwise.

Thank you so much, I thought that was the case but was not sure. I will probably get a smoked set off ebay or something because mine are faded very badly.

Don't get smoked headlights cause that reduces light output, I would recommend getting a set of chrome or black lightning or Harley Davidson reproductions off of amazon or eBay, wherever you find them the cheapest

On amazon there's a good quality set of chrome lightning headlights for about $70-$80

Smoked headlights don't hurt output if you're already running yellowed stock lights.. its honestly about the same thing. It won't give you a killer output, but it shouldn't be worse than stock. Pick up some wizard ultra white bulbs from amazon for $15 and some smoked headlights and you're better than stock.

That's not true, I don't have then yet lol but I'm considering ordering them in a few days lol. Depending on the color of the OPs truck, black lightnings might suit his truck well.

Because the light output on them is better on them than the "regular" housing, as well as most are replacing yellowed/hazy 10+ yr old housings and for about the same price get a better performing housing.

I think the lightnings look best anyways. And depending on the color of the truck decides whether to get the black lightnings or chrome lightnings.
