Default headlight swap

i have the early 97 with the headlights that no one makes anything for. does anyone know what it takes to use the later lights? specifically the lightning lights. i wanna toss in some HID's but my yellow lenses arent cool.

Are you talking about the one piece headlights?

Yeah I guess that's the ones I have, the corner and headlights come out as an assembley then you can unscrew the corner lights..

You can use any headlights from 1997-2003. Correct me if theres something different about the early 1997 models, but I don't think there is.

I have seen a bunch of one piece sets on EBay. It just takes some time to find them.

I'm just curious now. . . So will a late 1997-2003 aftermarket headlight still fit right?

no, I believe that you need a different header panel, as the mounts for the early 97's had a two piece mount with a part that the lights sat in, and then the entire assembly fir into the truck.

I think there was a thread about this same problem a while back. try searching through the threads a bit and see if you can find anything.
