Default Headers, Check Engine Lights?

Hi Everyone,

I've done a tonne of searching and reading on this site regarding long tube choices. I love my truck, and my 2V 5.4, but when I'm pulling my trailer it would be really nice to have a bit more power.

I've done the GOTTs Mod along with a drop in K&N (I know the benefit of K&N is of debate in this community, but I've never had a problem), as well as a 3" Gibson cat-back exhaust.

From what I'm reading here, it seems like people really recommend going with long tubes and a 2.5" Y pipe to a 3" cat-back, for fear of losing some low end torque with a 3" Y. That sounds great to me, makes a lot of sense.

So I'm really deciding between OBX (With resonators likely), and Pacesetter based on feedback from this community. I like the OBX because it comes with resonators, but also a 2.5" Y compared to the Pacesetter off-road which is only available in 3".

Anyway, my question is:

If I went ahead and got OBX longtubes installed, with the resonator option, will I be dealing with nuisance check engine lights before I get a tuner? Is it a bad idea to run longtubes for a year, prior to getting it tuned on premium (probably 91 because it's more available anywhere)?

Thanks guys! Sorry if this is a repost, I tried searching for this answer.
