Have them ceramic coated or at least use a baking ceramic paint on them at home. Prebake them up to Operating temps. If you can't do that, DO NOT get any oil on them prior to install and operating temps to keep from peeling from the outside in.

Not much you can do about the inside out but they'll easily last you 5 years with a quality install and fasteners.

At this point in our trucks ages, very few current owners will still own them longer than that.
