Header back exhaust?
I have a few exhaust leaks and I am looking to replace my exhaust from the exhaust manifold back, retaining my stock exhaust manifolds. I will order a cat back exhaust system but I don't see any exhausts from the stock exhaust manifold to the cat back system? Anyone know where to get a full exhaust minus the manifolds? Will mostlikely run flowmasters since they're the cheapest, I am not looking for really loud sound or crazy performance gains, just trying to maintain my truck and get it in tip top shape since it sees a lot of water towing jet skis and boats. Thanks.

So you want to replace the cats as well? Far as I know, no popular aftermarket company makes a total exhaust system, you'll end up just buying cat back for that part. Then for the part of the system that has the 4 cats and the crossover pipe to connect the two sides, if you are keeping the cats or going aftermarket cats just have a shop weld them to new custom pipe as that will be by far cheapest. If getting new OEM cats, that full part of the exhaust should be available to buy thru ford as one chunk, cats and all.
garbill2003, correct, the intermediate pipe between the cat back and exhaust manifold.
Jayson, I would replace the cats as well. My whole exhaust (and underneath of the truck) has a lot of rust and there are several exhaust leaks. I know the manifolds themselves can't leak unless they cracked which isn't likely. But I'd replace the manifold gaskets (inbetween head and manifold) and then new exhaust from the manifolds back.
v8der, I won't need to have a shop put on the catback but sounds like I will need a shop to make an intermediate pipe for me.
I think I am just going to get a catback exhaust since my muffler is shot and then replace all the exhaust gaskets in the whole system. Hopefully my exhaust/bolts aren't too rusted and break, then I will need a whole new system.
