Default Head issue

Im having an issue with oil. The other day after My truck started running REAL rough, no warning or low oil pressure. Come to find out I had NO oil in it. I'm not leaking that I cam see and no burning that I see or smell. I'm thinking it's a head problem? Any help?

At this point you probably have more then a head problem - Where did the oil go ? Was there literally NO oil in it ? What kind of sounds were made ?

There was pretty much NO oil on dipstick! After numerous dips! It was shuddering, and had NOTHING in the throttle. It stayed at 200rpms but didn't even get out of 2nd gear. I can tell its not the tranny! Its only two years old and the fluid is fine! My a/c wouldn't blow cold either. I'd have to shut it off completely! (I'm in Louisiana and yesterday it was 115 outside)

Still being vague - But I'll ask more questions, Did you add oil until it was on the stick ? If so how much was missing ? Was there any mechanical noises coming out of the engine ? Checked fuel pressure ? Check compression ?

Addendum: while I try NEVER to act as one of the guys, I absolutely love my truck and anything about Ford Trucks....it's a hard decision but would love input from ppl.
