Well today I got on it a little and at about 4k rpm I heard a whistle almost sounded like a blow off valve I'm guessing I need to do a head gasket soon

Its on a 97 5.4

I just wanna confirm if it is a head gasket

You need to do more investigating. Hearing a noise is not a proper diagnostic. Are you losing coolant or oil? How do they look?


Do a hydrocarbon test or pay someone to do it.

 

Im not sure if its the same noise... But alot of these triton motor sound like they have a turbo on them at the higher rpms, but like i said idk if its the same noise

 

I haven't looked at it yet I heard it on my way home last night ill check it later tonight

Could be that. Or pcv valve too. Idk why you want to replace the head gasket so quickly without any diagnostics.

Why are you hitting 4k anyway?

 

Because I'm fixing one on my 2000 and I was going to a fire call yea I know I shouldn't of hit that high
