having problems buying brake shoes
Hello all, don't know if this is a common problem. but I've been having problems purchasing brake shoes for my drum brakes. last time autozone didn't have the correct ones, purchased from advance auto and got the right ones. this time went back to advance auto and the shoes that they gave me didn't work. the problem with the new shoes are that the front shoes have a longer pad than the original ones. can't get the drums back on. and yes, the adjuster is fully retracted. any suggestions? Thanks
Wagner, Bendix or Raybestos all are good quality brands with high quality control. Duralast, and other cheap autostore brands, are not usually the best way to go with brakes. Use a good quality, known brand, and be done with it. Stay away from the cheap parts stores when it comes to brakes, unless they can give you quality named parts, and not their second rate lines.
