Default Grill Removal

I need to remove the grill from my 2000 F150 Flareside so my machine shop guy can put in some braces for a brush guard I just bought. Need some help on how to take the grill out, can someone help? I tried to post this on the HOW TO section but got a message I wasn't authorized to be there. Thanks in advance.

pop hood

take out the plastic screws on the radiator cowl(big black plastic thing above grill)there are 2 on the back

then pop out the things they were screwed in

take out jack crank arm thingy

take out radiator cowl

remove the metal screws holding the grill shell in

look down in the corner light area there is a silver bolt holding the corner light on take that out

pop out the corner light pulling forward

there are 2 screws holding the grill shell in behind that light

then there are 2 clips on the bottom they are on the end of the long triangular pieces, they go into the truck with a clip reach behind it and squeeze it so you can pull it out

I can't get any of these nylon screws out without breaking the grommets the screw goes into! They will not unscrew and when I pry them out they all break. I'm afraid to continue. Looked for replacements and can't find them and anything similar is $10 for each piece. Do you think I could use larger metal screws to put the cowl back on?

Thanks guys. I actually use a set of screws and anchors I was using to hang pictures with in the house and they worked great.
