as long as you started with a full tank, theres no way around it, dont question a good thing, just go with it !
most people drive like animals, i think thats the biggest problem, if everyone could just stop pushing their foot to the floor from every red light, stop sight, up hill, or to rage-pass people on the highway any time someone goes 2 mph below the speed limit in front of you, people would be surprised how many more mpg their cars could get

I will agrea with this to exception that if there is a car behind you and no one in front of you... move to the right lane.

Seems in California there is a fundamental lapse in common sense that tells us this...

Good job on the mileage, around town and hill driving I'm only avg 14... 18 to 19 with the open road and cruise control

Thumbs up Enjoy it.

My 02 5.4 4X4 with K&N, Stock Tires and in need of Plugs is doing a average of 15.4 CDN 13.0 US in Town & some Highway but when I bump the speed up to 70MPH Highway I get 22.3 CDN 18.9 US. Keep the Tach between 1800 and 2000 and the it's not that bad.

My 4.2 manual gets 20 in non stopping city at 35 MPH in 5th, and gets about 22 on the highway at 55-60.
Of course that is only when I drive like an old lady, but sometimes I don't have money for gas which is almost all the time.
