My 03 F-150 driver side grab handle is loose. I am unable to tighten it. Anyone have any ideas or ways to fix it.

 

Take it apart and see about a new bracket

 

The handle on the A-pillar? Should just have 2 screws in it

 

What do you mean by unable to tighten it? Have you actually tried to tighten the bolts, or are you unable to get to them?

 

somebodys truck from my schools grab handle on the passanger side was loose and we tried to tighten it and it just wouldnt tighten up. i think the holes in the bracket it screws into was stripped. the other day it finally came off. i think thats what hes talking about just not as severe.

 

If you cant tighten the screws then its probably stripped

 

Thanks for the reply's. It is my A pillar grab handle. I am not sure if I am reaching the screws and nuts or night because it appears the sockets get stuck. I have tried many different types of sockets. The entire handle and plastic trim are loose. One goes in hand with the other. I can not take the plastic off to look at the handle(obviously).
