For anyone planning on this mod I have found some very good info out just now by doing mine.

Where it states you must cut/dremel the silencer and then sand the edges down... YOU DONT!!!! at the lip just stick the screwdriver in the gap between the 2 plastic lips and pry down. Work your way around it and the whole silencer will come free and slide out without having to cut anything.

I wish I would have taken pics but I didnt. I didnt even mess with removing the rubber tube (that the IAC is in) and got it out with no issues.

Just a little helpful tip

 

That is just for the silencer mod, the Gotts mod just does the snorkel modification and does not touch the silencer.

 

Yea well its written up by the same person so I posted it as that. Did the airbox and silencer mod. It helped throttle response immensley as well as added a little sound.
