Default Gotts mod issue

So I did the gotts mod about two weeks ago, did everything right, disconnected the negative and such, but now about half the time I try to start the truck It won't start, it just sputters and it will almost start, but then dies, it always ends up starting eventually, but still.... just put a new battery in so that's no an issue... Any thoughts would be appreciated, thanks

Probably just a coincidence. Sounds like it could be an IAC valve problem. Last year mine would start rev real high and just die. Pull the IAC and clean it with carb cleaner. Why you're at it clean the throttle body and egr ports. That solved my problems. No CEL, right?

Gotts mod is not the cause of your issue. Unfortunately.

Fuel or air issue is my guess. You connected the Mass airflow sensor back up if you disconnected it, right?

This is what I was thinking.

you have 2 electrical plugs on the air intake, the MAF (right at the air filter box on the bottom, plug is on the side by the fuse box) and the air intake temp sensor (past the MAF on the intake, points to the engine).

I didn't think gotts mod was the problem, but the issues started after I did it. Both sensors are plugged in, I guess I'll just try cleaning them
