Question Gott's mod...good enough?

So, I just modified my air intake...Gott's mod. I'm trying to save money here, and so I thought I would do that until I can afford a K&N CAI. Now, my problem is exhaust. I've been told that I should do intake first then exhaust...is the mod enough to where I would see solid gains if I my exhaust done now? Or should I just put the money into the K&N and wait on the exhaust?

Cheers!

Josh

you can do either. You will benefit most from a free flowing exhaust. The GOTTS mod flows plenty of air to supply your engine.

I opened up the line to a 3.5inch opening with the gott's mod. So lots of air...but does it matter that it isnt "cold". lol. Like anything in Phoenix is ever cold...

Save your money on the intake. They look pretty, that's about all.
It's sucking air through the fender well right now. The so called "cold air intakes" suck it from the hot engine bay.

What about the metal box that they say "separates the filter from the heat of the engine?"

I get E-mails all of the time for pills they say will make my ******* grow longer......doesn't mean they actually work.

I'd like to see some real world dyno numbers. Not the claimed numbers from K&N. I'd believe it when I see them.

haha! you need a better spam filter, mate!

Anyone here see big gains from their K&N CAI on a dyno? Cuz as much as I want to get my exhaust done, I dont want to miss out on an upgrade that will also help...

Another free upgrade that works well with the Gotts mod it to remove the baffle from the big plastic elbow between the filter and intake. It is very restrictive, and you can really tell the difference without it when it gulps air when you are in the throttle.

I'd say with those two mods, and a good high flow filter, its sucking as much air as it's going to get. Spend the money elsewhere.
