Post Gotta 4x4 question here

..... how fast can you go when the 4x4 is engaged my brother says 50 but i say about 60-70mph and since i am driving my dads truck with a 4x4 i don't want to wreck it so i figured i better ask.

55 mph is the max recommended.

You know what now I remember where I got that number from. The shift on the fly you can shift into 4hi up to 40mph

i've been up to 65 but it wasnt for very long. didnt seem to break anything, but its nice to know now that i probly shouldnt over 55mph.

sure you can go faster without braking anything in the short run, but over time the bearings and U-joints in the front axle are probably not rated for a speed above 55
