Default good trade??

i am planning on trading a 91 wrangler yj with a 4.o and 33'' tires with a 6'' total lift for a 97 f150 4.2 with 7.5'' likt kit with 35'' tires and was wondering what the cons of the truck would be and if it is a good trade?? Thank you

What other work has been done to the F150? Gears, built trans...etc? What kind of kit does it have for the lift? Miles? 2x4?

The 4.2 is going to be a dog. If it's still stock, the 35's are going to strain everything.

Either way, a good trade is in the eyes of the beholder. You have to remember that you rarely break even on a modded vehicle.

The guy said it has a fabtech 7.5 inch lift and said he does not know for sure on gears but believes they were changed. He said he pulls his 18 foot boat with it so i am guessing they are not stock. He said the engine and auto tranny were rebuilt 12000 miles ago and tires only have 2000k miles on them.

The pics would load for me but your jeep is probably worth more because Jeeps seem to keep their value. And the truck is a 2WD. I would look around more for 4WD

I would not do it. A 4.2 with that tall of a lift and those tires will be ******* around. Not to mention, imo, the front body work is really bad.I would look for another truck if your planning on joining the f150 club

Yeah I would say keep the jeep because, as many people have stated that big off lift+those tires= no so good performance. unless you really just want something else and are tired of the jeep, I would say keep looking. it is your decision tho

I would pass on this one. As everyone else said, not only will that truck have some trouble with power, but that front end is... different. Your jeep is probably worth more anyway, so I think you would be taking a loss on this trade.
