Default Good deal?

I don't know why, but I keep on coming back to these King Ranches that I find...they seem to full me in for some reason. I found an 01 F150 King Ranch SuperCrew when I was browsing. It is about 3 hours away from where I live, but coincidentally my uncle lives in the same town that the truck is for sale in, so I might have him take a look at it for me.

The truck has the 5.4L V8, 4x4, moonroof, towing package, running boards, and the usual interior goodies of the KR package. It has 165k and the seller is asking $8,900 or best offer.

I was wondering what you all thought of this...good deal or no? The miles concern me somewhat just because the truck is going to have to last me another 6 years (at the very least). I know I wouldn't be putting a whole lot of miles on it annually. But, like I said, I want it to last me a while. What do you think? Good deal, or no?

There's also an 03 KR about an hour and a half away from me, from a dealer. They are asking $13.5k for it...don't know the mileage on it but if it's still available I might give them a call about it.

I just got a 01 screw lariat with half that miles for 9k$, so I think that is pretty pricey

My 01 king ranch has 166k miles and I've been offered 10-10,500 on just trade in. 13 is the top retail but 8900 doesn't seem bad at all

Just offer him $7500 cash and work with him from there. That is assuming that it is in good condition. My 02 was $10k 3 years ago with 84k miles and one owner and never seen mud. But you should go look at it though and make sure it's everything you want in a truck. As for the dealership one, dealerships always over charge on used trucks
