Question Ghost windshield wipers

I have a 99 4x4 Sport which I bought about a month ago and have been gradually making repairs to get it up to being a nice and reliable driver but one thing has been driving me nuts..... My windshield wipers kick on at random moments. Just driving along and there they go just happily wiping back and forth with no regard to whether I have need of their services or not. Soooo what is possessing my truck and causing these gremlins? In other cars when I had windshield wiper problems it was inevitably a ground but not sure with this thing. Help!

I also have a 1999 ford f150 4x4 sport. Mine did the same thing. It was the wiper switch. Put a new one in and no problems since.
