Question Generation module?

My 2002 F-150 has a problem with the headlights.... I can turn them on but cannot turn them off, even when I turn the engine off. A mechanic friend says that it is the "generation module".... very expensive. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.

I'm sure he means the GEM, "generic electronic module"

But check the less expensive things first, like the headlight switch, pull it out and inspect it thoroughly, then get back to us

Also if he did say "generation" module and didn't say to check your switch out I wouldn't be listening to him anymore haha

whoops... I think you're right. GEM module. Where is is located and is it easy to replace? Could this cause the weird headlight problem? Thanks again.

Again.... pull your switch inspect thoroughly and get back to us... check out the wires and the harness also...

Do you want it to be the GEM? I'm not gonna type the whole gem deal on my phone when it's probably your switch

Check your switch throughly and come on back and tell us what you found
