Default general rough idle question

Hello gang, I'm new to the world of Fords, I have a 2002 f150 4x4 4.6L with fairly low miles, only 80k. I have a small bit of shaking when I'm idling. Nothing too crazy, but I'm wondering if there's anything specific to Ford I should look for?

I replaced all 8 spark plugs with motorcraft plugs but it didn't change anything. I was gonna do a basic tune up...air filter, fuel filter...anything else I should look for?

I've read that a rough idle can also be coil related?

It runs really nice, it just shakes a bit when I'm idling at a light but once I accelerate, there are no issues.

Thanks in advance.

Go to an auto parts store, and have your OBD-II codes read, especially if the check engine light is on. Sounds like a misfire, which can mask itself at higher RPM. Coil on Plug failures are common, and bad idle, but somewhat OK throttle response can be one of the symptoms. Clean your MAF sensor, IAC valve the throttle body with dedicated products (not carb cleaner). Do your filters as part of basic maintenance - fuel filter could also do this to you.

There's no check engine light on....could there be codes thrown even without a light?

I guess after I do the fuel filter my next move will be cleaning the throttle body and MAF. Thanks for the tips.
