Default Gearbox issue

Good morning, could someone help me, I have a 2000 F150 lightning and I have a gearbox issue. When I drive it normally it changed gear fine no issues however if I put my foot down in 1st it doesnt change gear. If i let off the gas and slightly put it back on then it changed. I have done a gearbox oil & filter change and also changed the speed sensor but still the same. Any ideas??
Cheers
Paul

It would be easier to help you if we knew more about the truck. Click this & read the caption, then fill in your signature:

So far sounds like it’s shifting fine. When you put your foot down up shift will be delayed. It will rev fairly high before it upshifts, maybe you’re not hitting that shift point? When you back off the pedal it shifts. That’s called a lift foot up shift.

When I put my foot down though it does not change gear and the revs go really high, the only way it changes into 2nd is if I take my foot off the gas and apply it again slowly. Then it knocks it into 2nd gear. Driving slow is fine and there are no issues, but in a lightning you always get tempted with a heavy foot
