Default Gauges not working 2001 F150, 4.2, 5 speed 2wd

Hi everyone, about a month ago I sold my Ranger and bought a 2001 F150. It has 151,000 miles, 4.2, 5 speed, 2wd, regular cab, manual crank windows, super basic truck but it has been great, and up until this morning I haven't had any major problems. While driving to work, all my gauges stopped working. Speedo, temp, fuel, voltage, oil pressure, all flat. The digital odometer is blank. The truck starts, stops and runs fine. The gauge backlights work normally when I turn on the lights. While cranking at start up, oil pressure light briefly flashes, as is normal, then goes off as expected. Seatbelt light works when I'm not buckled, so it seems like the dummy lights work. Headlights and taillights work, windshield wipers and washer works. Dome light and radio both work. There is no CEL on the dash. Everything seems fine, other than all my gauges are dead flat. I checked every fuse in the fuse box under the dash - all good. I checked every fuse in the box under the hood - all good. I have no idea what to do next. Anyone have any suggestions?

The odometer has been known to stop working due to poor solder joints.
You can reflow the solder and fix it. Couple of YouTube videos and threads on here that can help. Don't know if that would affect the other things tho.

My odometer intermittently works and I just haven't had time to deal with it. Hasn't caused me any issues.

First guess and is always the easiest is to check your fuses. Under dash and under hood

I've checked the fuses under the hood and under the dash, and they all look good.

Thanks for the suggestion about the odometer solder joint. I looked at the odometer fix thread and will try to give it a shot this weekend.

Are there any other areas I should be looking?

the odometer on my 2000 f150 farm truck doesn't always appear either. i don't really care because it stays off road for the most part.

Really, I could live without the odometer, but the fuel gauge and speedometer are kinda important to me, and it seems to be tied to everything else.

All dummy lights work (oil pressure light, seat belt, parking brake, etc) none of the gauges work (speedometer, oil pressure gauge, fuel, voltage, temp)

if those gauges are not working at all its probably a fuse or wiring problem

I think you are right. I pulled the dash apart last night and discovered the previous owner had installed some sort of security system or remote start or something. Whatever it was it no longer worked, and the wiring was a mess. I removed it and think I've patched it back together correctly. Still no gauges. Do you know where i can find a wiring diagram for the stuff under the dash and two plugs going into the back of the gauge cluster?
