When I fill the tank up I get a leak until I drive a few miles coming from the top of the tank. before I pull bead does any one know the most likely source?

I thought about that but I don't usually fill it all the way up and it don't leak while filling it just if i fill till the pump shuts off. It runs down by the front strap.
Yea, it's usually the over flow tube. They entire assembly can be had on e bay. I'm on my 3rd.
I guess it could be the tank...you'll have to investigate further to be sure. A leak at the filler tubes could track to the front strap, I don't recall seeing that with mine. Smelled the gas and looked at the tubes and that was it. But I had to look right after a fill-up or the evidence would evaporate.

Personally, I just replaced the assembly but yea, it may be a little cheaper to replace just the hoses, IF you can find them lol. Try third party suppliers or google hunt them down, if they're out there.....
There's a little slack in the hoses, very little. You may be able to cut them back a little if leaking at the end.

If you are sure the main hose is the culprit, I recommend a 45 dgree preformed hose from O'Reily. I tried a straight hose from NAPA. It crumbled where bent. I replaced it a stiff straight hose. I had a hellish time to make it fit.
I am also in Florida and rusting is generally not an issue. When I lowered the tank for pump repair, I found a spot where dirt got collected and rusting started. So don''t rule out corrosion. St. Pete is closer to salt water than Orlando.

Do you remember the hose id size? I had my bed off over the summer to replace the fuel pump. I know the tank and filler neck is in good shape.
