Default Fuel starvation?

About a year ago I installed a new CAI, MAF, and throttle body and now when it's cold out my check engine light comes on reading system too lean. Is there a way to get more fuel out of the stock system or bigger injectors? I'd like to see the performance gains after that if its possible to do so. Thanks in advance

Do you have a CAI on it? This happened to my dads 04 so he took the CAI out of it for the winter and it solved the problem

X2. Get it custom tuned to all that air flowing in there

Tha maf should be able to compensate for the added air. At the most you have not really added all that much air. Getting a custom tune may help, but the biggest killer right now is the winter blended fuel. Also depending on the codes, and what type of air filter you are using it may be time to clean the maf.

I clean the MAF/filter every oil change (which I did recently) it's a K&N CAI with a jet MAF, and BBK throttle body. I just recently had to replace my TPS and it seemed to run a bit stronger before I opened her up again under the hood for a new intake elbow and EGR valve

Did you use a tuner or just throw on the CAI without one? If you didn't use a good tuner, cold air is much denser than warm air and it messes with the computer sensor reading. You will have to put a good tune into your truck to get rid of the cold air problems.

Now, if you have a tuner, then I would suggest you get ahold of the mfgr and have another tune created for your truck or if you have Bama, or Brenspeed or another company, get them to do a specific tune for your truck. Cold air can be your friend or your foe, depending on what it is being used for. Good luck

The k&n has a sort-of heat shield and I for sure noticed a difference even upgrading from the k&n drop in. What I'm doing next it's port matching the intake elbow to the BBK tb because there's a 1-2mm lip around the inside
