Default Fuel pump issue

I have a 97 f150 xlt I replaced the fuel pump and negative battery cable and it started up so I bolted the fuel tank back up and after I did that I noticed I couldn't hear the fuel pump running. Does anyone know what this could be?

Maybe you tripped the fuel pump inertia switch during tank/pump reinstallation. Located behind passenger side kick panel...push button down to reset.

I tried that and nothing. I rewired the fuel pump like 5 times and each time it initially started then fuel pump won't run after tank is bolted back in I am thinking a short or something but can't figure it out

Check your under hood fuse. Check the wires going to the fuel pump when cranking to make sure it’s getting power. If it does then work your way down. If not then work your way up to the front
