Default Fuel Pump?

I have a question. I need to replace the Fuel pump on my truck. In looking at fuel pumps online at Oriely and Napa they show tow differn't options for fuel pump. The first they show is just a Fuel Pump. The second wone is called fuel Pump and assembly. The Fuel Pump and Assembly runs about $200 and the Fuel pum palone only cost less then $100. Can I buy just the Fuel pump and use the existing assembly that is being used now or do I have to buy the Assembly to?

Thanks for your help.

It depends on what has gone wrong. Most of the time you will only need the pump. When I changed mine I only bought the pump, well and the filter screen. Buy a new filter screen along with the pump, since you'll need one for the warranty on the pump anyways

Well I replaced the whole thing. By the time you figured the Pump and Screen was about $130 I diecieded to replace the whole thing for $160. Havn't got it all back together yet. When I took the Tank out from under the truck the Vaper Management Valve was broken. So had to order that and will have it in morning. and Will get it fixed tomorrow.
