I'm looking to buy new fuel injectors soon, and I'm curious as to how many people have replaced theirs and see if they have any opinions on good ones. My truck is stock motor wise, but I want to have something that sprays better. I'm also uncertain if you can buy upgraded injectors that give you a little HP bump, so if anyone has information on that please share it with me, my truck is not starving for fuel though.

Thank you to anyone who replies, I appreciate your time!

Stick with 19's. You can get 5 hole easily now. I believe all re-builders have updated to such. Don't look for any power or MPG gains. With 5 holes you get better atomization, but no bragging rights. It takes multiple updates to get the engine to do the best it can. That's just a small part of that.

That said,- If your injector filters are corroded and hardened, it'll take sonic cleaning to take care of most of that. Yes, injectors can make a night and day difference..it's possible IF this is the case. Just use the same "Fat Body" Bosch 19lbers with the 5 hole update, if you want to update vrs clean.

Just a quick FYI. I'm in the middle of setting up to do maintenance on my injectors. Changing filters and o-rings and sonic cleaning. I just got done building a box that will fire the injectors in the sonic bath. Anyway I just wanted to mention if your filters ARE corroded you can replace them very cheap. I got an 8 cyl set including spindle cap, filter, spacer and orings for $20.

Thanks for the advice, but I won't be rebuilding them, I'll just buy new ones.

Depends on what year your truck is. 02/03 use USCAR injectors from the factory. If you dont have access to custom tunes then stick with 19's. If you have access to custom tunes or plan on buying them upgrade to 24's. I'm running 36's, but I use E85 90% of the time.

Excellent! That's great the kits are more readily available. And now there's actual tutorials on UToob. Yep , that's the EV1 "Fat Body" kit. Doing this yourself, you know they're as clean as can be.

Any chance of a write up?

Chicken

Look around, there's a few company's that specialize w/new rebuilds. These are just like new since everything that wears is replaced. There's places other than eBay or Amazon on the net..with pretty good deals.

Its just gonna be easier for me is all. It would be 10 times cheaper to get them rebuilt, but I'll spend my tax refund getting new injectors and I'll probably rebuild my old ones just as backup.
