Actually, there is alot of good info you all provided on the removal tool. Once the filter is removed, what keeps the gas from draining out of the tank?

It was like 40 bucks IIRC...iv bought a lot from the man, so excuse my memory!

It came with fuel line disconnects, transmission and a/c disconnects also.

The fuel lines come out of the top of the tank, so gravity keeps the fuel tank from draining. All that comes out is what's in the lines and filter.

It'll also help if you relieve the fuel pressure before you start

Yes. And close your eyes and turn your head when you pop the filter off. An eye/mouth full of fuel sucks trust me, I learned the hard way.

Rofl....ain't that the truth.

I always cover the first line I take off with a rag, that way if it does spray it just goes down, not in my face. I did an f250 one time that I'll never forget. There had to have been a half gallon run down my damn arm lol. Had to go into the locker room and change shirts and wash it all off. It wouldn't have happened like that if I would have just lifted it up... But I was to impatient lol

Fun times..
