Default Front diff oil change

It’s tone to change the front diff oil on my 02 screw 5.4.

I’ve got some Redline 75-140 laying around from when I did my rear diff. I didn’t have to add any modifiers when I did that.

from what I’ve read I should be fine, but I just want to double check. Do I have to add a friction modifier in the front diff with the Redline oil?

Thank you.

No (per Ford manual).

Note:
Friction modifier additives are only used in a differential that has limited slip. By that I mean the traditional LS with friction clutch material.

Note 2:
I don't believe Ford has offered a limited slip front differential?

Be sure to loosen the upper fill plug first. I don’t believe mine had been off since the factory in 2000. A propane torch and a impact driver, with two extensions. I still barely got it off without stripping the 3/8” square holes plug.
