Default Front axel help

I have a 97 and i want to rebuild my front axel for acouple reasons. First off i have read on here that our front axles are poo poo for large tires. I have 37s on it right now but would like to go bigger, probably 40 or maybe alittle bigger. Also i have a 3inch body lift and tortion key lift to fit the 37s. I am kickin my self for doin the keys instead of springing for a suspension lift because it is F$%#ing up my front end my cv boots are shreading and the ball joints need to be replaced.

I was just wondering if i can just rebuild the axel wit new stronger parts to fix it and be able to handel 40+ tires? or is there somewhere i can get a stronger replacement axel? Im worried about if i go puttin a dana 44 under it or somethin that i wouldnt be able to take the keys out and do a suspension lift without having to do a lot of customizing

Thanks

40" tires are way too much for IFS. It should be fine as a street truck, but offroad is another story!

Then you should be fine. There won't be any strain on the axles. I bet it's going to look great!

so should i be able to just replace the parts on the front axel that needs to be replaced and it should hold up ok as long as i keep it on road and get rid of the tortion keys? i think it just put to much strain on the front end
